The 63rd City Civil and Sessions Court on Saturday partly allowed a petition of the founder of a city-based NGO, who had sought permission of the Sessions Court to submit his observations in the case of Mohammed Nalapad Haris.
The sessions court was hearing the plea of Alam Pasha, founder of ‘The Helping Citizen and People’s Court’.
The court permitted him to submit written observations to Special Public Prosecutor M.S. Shyamsundar. This means that Mr. Pasha will not be able to make arguments in the case in the court but only submit his observations in writing. Mr. Pasha said that he deemed it important to submit his observations, in the larger interest of society, to prevent such atrocities committed by the powerful and influential.
The court is likely to hear Nalapad’s bail petition on Monday.
