The city woke up to the damage wrought about by Tuesday’s downpour.

While low-lying areas were flooded, many trees came crashing down, blocking roads at many places.

Many vehicles were damaged as trees or electricity poles fell on them.

A four-wheeler parked on the road was damaged as a portion of the wall next to it collapsed. Many trees on Krishnaraja Boulevard, between the court premises and Maharaja’s College campus, were uprooted. Trees were also uprooted at Sarawathipuram, Kuvempunagar, Jayanagara and near the Deputy Commissioner’s office.

Tough time

People had a tough time crossing the road as civil works are being taken up near K.R. Circle.

Ashoka Road was flooded owing to the overflowing storm-water drain.

It was a similar sight near the Clock Tower, Devaraja Market, suburban bus-stand and some other places. Parts of the city were without electricity as the power lines were being repaired
