MP seeks Kimmane Ratnakar’s resignation

May 24, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:46 am IST - BELAGAVI:

Suresh C. Angadi, MP, has sought the resignation of Minister of State for Secondary Education Kimmane Ratnakar, holding him responsible for the furore over the II PU results.

Mr. Angadi said here on Saturday that the Minister failed to prevent discrepancies in the results due to sub-standard evaluation of answer scripts.

Those who would have easily passed in subjects such as Kannada were given less marks and failed.

The quality of evaluation was shocking and unjust, as it had pushed large number of students into darkness and amounted to playing with their future, he said.

Mr. Angadi demanded that the Minister owned moral responsibility for the fiasco and tender his resignation.
