MLAs nominated to academic councils, Senate of four varsities

Speaker Kagodu Thimmappa has nominated MLAs to the academic councils of Mangalore, Bangalore, Mysore universities and the Senate of the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bangalore.

As many as five MLAs were nominated to the academic council of Bangalore University. They are the former Speaker K.R. Ramesh Kumar (Srinivaspura), K. Sudhakar (Chickballapur), B. Shivanna (Anekal), S.R. Vishwanath (Yelahanka) and H.C. Balakrishna (Magadi).

The MLAs nominated to the academic council of Mangalore University are Pramod Madwaraj (Udupi), J.R. Lobo (Mangalore South) and K.G. Bopaiah (Virajpet).

The MLAs nominated to the academic council of the University of Mysore are K.S. Puttanaiah, H.K. Kumaraswamy, K. Venkatesh, and C. Puttarangasetty.

The MLAs nominated to the Senate of RGUHS are K. Sudhakar, Shivanand S. Patil and S. Shivaraj Patil, said a notification issued by Assembly Secretary P. Omprakash.
