Minister for Social Welfare H. Anjaneya, Minister of State for Labour P.T. Parameshwar Naik and Minister of State for Agriculture Krishna Byre Gowda have decided to adopt “zero tolerance” to corruption in their departments.

Addressing press conferences here on Tuesday, the three Ministers promised that they would not allow any irregularities in their departments. All schemes and programmes would be implemented in a transparent manner, they said.

About the poor implementation of farm schemes and irregularities in the execution of schemes, Mr. Byre Gowda said that he would go to the fields and monitor the execution of schemes.

Mr. Anjaneya, who took charge on Tuesday, told reporters: “My intention is clear. I will try to ensure effective implementation of schemes for the poor. Tackling corruption and implementation of people-friendly schemes are my priorities.”

Mr. Naik said, “The department’s business will be conducted in a transparent manner with the support of senior officials.”
