After popular film actor Irrfan Khan, it is now the turn of noted social activist Medha Patkar to make her way to Badanawal, about 35 kms from here, to lend her support to the ‘satyagraha’ taken up by theatre personality Prasanna.

As part of his mission to promote sustainable way of life, Prasanna has been camping at Badanawal near here, which was once a thriving khadi production centre.

Apart from Medha Patkar, noted naturopathy practitioner Dr. Jacob Vadakkanchery will also be arriving at Badanawal on Tuesday. “Medha Patkar and Dr. Jacob Vadakkanchery coming to Badanawal tomorrow (April 14) to support Badanawal Satyagraha and Sustainable Living Convention”, said Prasanna in a Facebook post on Monday.

Irrfan Khan, who spent a night at Badanawal with his “guru” Prasanna, strongly disapproved migration from villages to cities.
