Minister for Water Resources M.B. Patil, during his inspection of works in Hassan on Wednesday, helped a person who was injured in an accident on Hassan-Holenarasipur Road.
A two-wheeler rider, who was hit by a truck, was seriously injured and lying on the road. The minister, who was on his way to Hassan after visiting work sites, stopped his vehicle to help the man.
Mr. Patil directed one of the officers following him in another vehicle to take the injured to the nearest hospital.
He also informed the police and asked them to register a case.
