A 50-year-old mason allegedly killed his son with a machete at his residence, near Saint Thomas School, here on Tuesday evening. The victim, S. Mahadeva (24), was a daily wager, the Mandya West Police said.
The police have arrested the accused, identified as Shivanna, and recovered the machete. Shivanna’s wife Prameela has filed the complaint. The police are investigating to ascertain the cause for the murder. A case has been registered at Mandya West police station.
