Various organisations and leaders from north Karnataka emphasised the need for taking up the Mahadayi water row also during the emergency legislature session on Friday, convened over the Cauvery issue.
Convenor of the Kalasa Banduri Horata Samnvaya Samiti, Vikas Soppin, said there was a dire need to take up the issue along with the Cauvery row during the session. “While there are leaders like Made Gowda and the former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda who show their commitment towards the cause and take up the issue at higher level, despite years of agitation there is none from the region to depend on,” he said.
