A 23-year-old motorcyclist was injured in his left hand after he was hit by a machete thrown by two motorcycle-borne men in the early hours of Monday.
The Ullal police said Noushad, a resident of Kodi in Ullal, was going on his motorcycle to a unit preparing samosas. Near Rahmania Masjid around 1 a.m., he reportedly saw a person sitting on the pillion of a motorcycle throw a machete at him. Noushad ducked and the machete fell on his left hand.
The police said Noushad lost balance and fell on the road. A police patrol party rushed to the scene hearing his scream and took him to a private hospital.
The police said search was on to find the assailants named by Noushad.
