A youth from a Tripura village, who went missing from Bengaluru, was found in Hubballi on Thursday as the Railway Police Force personnel played Good Samaritan.

Raju Debesh Dhar (22) was working as a security guard at a private hospital in Bengaluru for a month. However, he went missing subsequently.

Assistant Sub-Inspector of RPF B.N. Kuberappa found Raju loitering in the Railway Yard on Gadag Road on Sunday and inquired him. But, he was unable to recollect what exactly had happened to him. “He remembered he had luggage with him, but couldn’t recollect where it had gone. Fortunately, he could recollect a phone number,” Mr. Kuberappa told The Hindu .

When Mr. Kuberappa called the number, Raju’s brother Deepak Dhar answered. An overjoyed Deepak told the police officer that Raju had gone missing a month ago. Deepak requested the RPF personnel to keep his brother with them for three or four days as his train journey to Hubballi would take that much time. On Thursday, when Raju saw Deepak, tears rolled down his cheeks. “I am thankful to the RPF for taking care of my brother,” Deepak said.
