Lokayukta inquiry against former Minister

Based on a complaint by RTI activist and Brashtachar Nirmulana Vedike member Gurupadaiah Mathad, a Special Lokayukta Court has ordered the Davangere Lokayukta Superintendent to conduct an inquiry into the alleged disproportionate wealth of the former Excise Minister M.P. Renukacharya and submit a detailed report by June 26.

The activist had filed a complaint alleging that the Minister’s assets had increased disproportionately in five years. The inquiry would also be conducted against the Minister’s three brothers .
