April 06, 2016 06:38 pm | Updated 06:38 pm IST - BELAGAVI

The Registrar of Visvesvaraya Technology University has appealed to the students to take advantage of the live lecture programmes on VTU E-Learning Centre, which had become functional since February 8 this year. The programmes are being aired through EDUSAT to individual colleges and will continue till May 21.

The lectures have been arranged in subjects where the students find some difficulty in understanding inputs from their respective colleges. Experts deliver lectures on these subjects, which would supplement regular classroom teaching. Students in VTU-affiliated colleges can watch these lectures from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. every day using their respective EDUSAT receiving equipment in the college.

Students may log on http://elearning.vtu.ac.in to know the day-wise schedule. For students to access these videos 24x7, VTU e-Learning uploads the videos on http://videos.vtu.ac.in as well.

Lectures in the following eight subjects are being telecast live:

1. 15MAT21 - Engineering Mathematics-II

2. 15ELN25 – Basic Electronics

3. 15PCD23 – Programming in C and Data Structure

4. 15ELE25 – Basic Electrical Engineering
