Chitradurga Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Nitesh Patil has instructed officials to take steps to link the bank accounts of Stree Shakti group members with their Aadhaar numbers.
Speaking at a meeting here on Tuesday, he said that there were 5,075 Stree Shakti groups in the district of which 4,443 had linked the Aadhaar numbers of their members. To ensure that better facilities were provided to these groups, the officials should link their bank accounts with Aadhaar numbers. Women and Child Welfare Department Deputy Director Parameshwarappa was present.
