Learn how to use social media in business

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Mysore, will organise a workshop, ‘Doing business with social media’, at Hotel Pai Vista here on Friday. The workshop will equip participants to think business when they think social media or how social tools can help achieve business goals. At the end of the workshop, participants will know how to evolve an end-to-end social co-creation strategy exclusively for their organisations to address the immediate and long-term business challenges by collaborating with external stakeholders. The workshop will be based on P6 ideation framework, developed by Younomy, a social business consulting firm. The workshop will have exclusive sessions on six aspects or steps involved in evolving a social business or organisational strategy, and converting the strategy into action, the release said. Participants will be given worksheets and opportunities for group discussion, brainstorming, and individual thinking to complete worksheets. The topics covered will include ways to think business in a new way- ‘social business’; boosting the productivity of your social media team; co-creation and crowd-sourcing of specific business value; how to design social websites and social platforms of our own and how to promote brand and build customer communities using social media, the release stated.

The workshop will be conducted by G. Sankaranarayanan, managing partner, Younomy Consulting Services.
