Congress candidate Komala Ramesh and BJP candidate Seema Prasad filed their respective nominations for the by-polls to Mysore City Corporation's Ward 15 on Monday, the last date for filing nominations to the elections scheduled to be held on December 15.
A total of five candidates, including JD (S) candidate Lakshmi Ganesh and Independents Nalini Thammaiah and Harini Manojkumar, are in the fra.
Scrutiny is scheduled for November 25 and the last date for withdrawal of nominations is November 27.
The by-poll for Ward 15, reserved for women (general), has been necessitated in the wake of the resignation by Manjula Manasa, who was appointed chairperson of the Karnataka State Women's Commission.
