Bharatiya Janata Party’s Raitha Morcha will hold a debate with representatives of different pro-farmers’ organisations on the proposed Land Bill in Hassan on Monday. The debate has been organised in the wake of a nation-wide criticism against the ordinance that brought an amendment to the bill.
K.R. Lokesh, president of Hassan district Raitha Morcha, in a press conference here on Friday, said that there had been a false campaign against the proposed bill by political parties. “Political parties are misleading the farming community by publicising false information about the bill. The bill is actually beneficial to the farming community,” he said.
Araga Jnanendra, former MLA and State president of BJP’s Raitha Morcha, will address the gathering.
