KRV to organise cultural programmes

The Karnataka Rakshana Vedike (KRV) is planning to organise year-long cultural programmes till December 2017 to mark the 11th anniversary of the organisation.

Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, Sharanu Gadduge, North Karnataka president, KRV, said that plays, entertainment programmes, classical and traditional dance performances, stage shows, comedy shows and singing competitions would be organised in the region. Gadinada Utsav, Kannadigara Jatha, and Kalyan Karnataka Utsav would be held in Kodekal; Yargol in Yadgir district; Indi in Vijayapura district; Sirwar in Raichur district; and Ravoor and Kalaburagi in Kalaburagi district from November 25 to December 30.

The programmes to be held from January to December 2017 would be finalised soon.

Artistes from the Kannada film industry and television actors would participate, he added.
