Kodandarama temple gears up for Rama Navami

Lord will be taken out in a procession on ‘Hanumanta Vahanam’

Days after conclusion of the auspicious annual Brahmotsavams, renowned temple of Sri Kodandarama Swamy has been decked up for mega events – Sri Rama Navami and Sri Rama Pattabhishekam. Following the Sri Rama Navami festival on Saturday, Snapana Tirumanjanam (Celestial Bath) would be performed to the deities from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. and Sri Rama Navami Asthanam to be held from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Later in the night, Lord Rama will be taken in a procession on his favourite carrier — ‘Hanumanta Vahanam’ — from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
