The Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board (KIADB) is preparing a detailed project report (DPR) for setting up a Women’s Entrepreneurs’ Park in Thandya Industrial Area near Mysuru to facilitate entrepreneurship development.
This was disclosed during a single-window agency meeting at Automotive Axles Limited here. Usually, the meeting takes place at the office of the Deputy Commissioner. For the first time, it took place at an industry hosted by the CII Mysuru Zone.
The meeting was informed by the KIADB Development Officer about the government’s move to establish the park for women entrepreneurs and steps taken by the board in this regard.
On the occasion, N. Muthukumar, president, Automotive Axles, stressed upon the need for maintaining a good relationship between industrial areas and housing layouts. The work can be looked after by the industry associations in consultation with JD, DIC, DO, KIADB, Tahsildar and Project Officer, KIADB. The report on this will be submitted to CII, Mysuru, he added.
Mr. Muthukumar briefed the members on the event organised by QCFI–NCQC–2017 at JSS Science and Technology University here. Around 9,000 delegates are expected to be a part of the event. “The theme is to bring about zero defect from zero effect which eventually aligns with Make in India Initiative,” he added.
Deputy Commissioner D. Randeep, who was present, said H. Ramakrishne Gowda, Joint Director, DIC, is the one point contact for QCFI – NCQC – 2017. Mr Kumar requested the support of the District Administration to make this event a success. The meeting also discussed the cluster development programme for allocation of land at Hebbal Industrial Area.
The Deputy Commissioner instructed the Tahsildar, Nanjangud, to take action on the government land under the jurisdiction of KIADB to be transferred from the Revenue Department to KIADB.
