A serving Karnataka Administrative Service (KAS) officer, K. Mathai, known as a whistle-blower for exposing an illegal advertisement scam in Bengaluru city in 2015, on Wednesday lodged a complaint with the Karnataka Lokayukta against four senior IAS officers of the State.

In his 27-page complaint to Lokayukta Justice P. Vishwanatha Shetty, Mr. Mathai has alleged that he has been repeatedly targeted by several IAS officers for exposing corruption. Mr. Mathai had submitted the complaint to Chief Secretary Subhash Chandra Khuntia in April this year. He said he was forced to approach the Lokayukta since no action was taken on his complaint.

Mr. Shetty told The Hindu that while Mr. Mathai met him after lodging the complaint, he would look into the merits of the plaint only after the judicial officer concerned submits a report.
