Following an appeal from the producers of Bhag Milkha Bhag — a biopic on Milkha Singh, the Karnataka government is alsoi considering providing tax exemption for the film.
The Maharashtra government on Saturday decided not to levy tax for the film.
Sources in the government told The Hindu that a request from the producer had reached the government, and a decision would be taken soon.
The film is based on the life of athlete Milkha Singh, who represented the country at the Olympic Games in Melbourne, Rome and Tokyo, and won a gold medal at the Commonwealth Games.
