Former Chief Minister and JD(S) State president H.D. Kumaraswamy on Sunday said he would resume the Kumaraparva rally after finalising the first list of candidates for the Assembly elections.

Speaking to reporters here after meeting prospective candidates and workers of Hebbal, Yelahanka, Dasarahalli and Rajarajeshwari Nagar Assembly constituencies, he said: “I will release the first list within this month, even before the Congress and BJP.” Everyone will be taken into confidence before finalising the list, he said.

“There are multiple contenders in several constituencies, which needs to be sorted out. There is a need to bring harmony among contending candidates,” he said. On the candidature of his nephew Prajwal Revanna, who has announced his intention to contest from Rajarajeshwari Nagar, he said: “Party workers and leaders will decide on this.”
