As expected, the functioning of Police Department was normal in the district on Saturday as none of the police personnel went on unauthorised leave.

Attendance registered

On Saturday morning, the circle inspectors took the attendance of the constabulary under their jurisdiction. According to sources, a total number of 94 personnel had earlier applied for leave on Saturday but had withdrawn the leave requisition letters three days before at the behest of the senior officers. Even the family members of the police personnel did not take part in any protest in the district.

Meanwhile, the activists of Nava Karnataka Nirmana Vedike, Pranjala Shivappa Nayaka Sene and Bhagath Singh Horata Vedike staged separate protests in the city demanding the State government to take necessary measures to fulfil the demands of the police personnel.
