The Domestic Workers’ Rights Union distributed identity cards to the members of the union at a function organised in Kolar Gold Fields (KGF) on Tuesday.

Hundreds of women travel to Bengaluru to work as domestic workers. The union is trying to create awareness among them about their rights and facilities under various laws. It is also organising them in order to provide them job security.

Pre-University College faculty Nagaraj, union functionaries Geeta Menon and Rajeshwari were present.
