Hundreds of Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHA) staged a protest here on Monday and urged Health and Family Welfare Minister U.T. Khader to regularise their services.

They also demanded regular payment of performance-based incentive, medical kits, and toilets and drinking water facilities at government health centres.

They gathered under the banner of All-India United Trade Union Centre and protested for a while outside the office of the District Health and Family Welfare Office here.

Later, they reached Sri Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar Kala Mandir and urged the Minister to fulfill their demands. Mr. Khader, who was there in connection with an AIDS and HIV awareness programme, said the State Government would consider their demands.
