Haj training and vaccination camp today

A training and vaccination camp for Haj pilgrims from Mysuru, Mandya and Chamarajanagar districts will be held at R.K. Palace Function Hall in Udayagiri here on Monday.

All the prospective pilgrims scheduled to perform Haj in September will have to undergo the mandatory vaccination, as prescribed by Saudi Arabia, a statement from the Mysuru District Haj Committee said.

On the occasion, Moulana Mufti Tajuddin from Darul Qaza, Moulana Mohammed Zakaulla Saheb, president of the All India Milli Council, Mysuru district unit, and Moulana Mohammed Mufti Salman Ahmed from Darul Uloom Siddiquia will speak on the rituals of Haj and provide instructions on visiting of the tomb of Prophet Mohammed at Madina.

While Tanveer Sait, the Minister for Primary and Secondary Education and Wakf, will inaugurate the programme, Roshan Baig, the Minister for Urban Development and Haj, will be the chief guest. The function will begin at 9 a.m. at the hall at No. 1, P&T Quarters Road, Udayagiri.
