The Employment Information and Guidance Centre (University of Mysore) had organised a career guidance programme at the Government College for Women (GCW) in K.R. Pet in the district on Wednesday.

K.R. Pet tahsildar H.L. Shivarama and A. Venkateshappa, Deputy Chief of the Guidance Centre, addressed the students.

The students can achieve their targets through dedication, determination and hard works. Hence, they should always rely on them, Mr. Venkateshappa said.

The present growth-oriented environment provides various channels for career development of girls from the rural areas. The educated young women should identify the right field and grab job opportunities in their selected area, he said.

The girls can get great job opportunities in various sectors in the current continuously changing world. They must grab the jobs through their skills, capabilities and talents, Mr. Shivaram said.

Students from some other Government and privates colleges too visited the exhibition, organised at the college on job opportunities in the various sectors.
