Music lovers have something to look forward this weekend as Ganabharathi will conduct Purandaradasa-Tyagaraja Aradhana and Tarunabharathi music concerts.
The concerts are meant to encourage and provide a platform for budding musicians, according to T.P. Krishnakantha, Joint Secretary, Ganabharathi.
In this connection, Ganabharathi will present a violin duet featuring Kumari N. Kruthi and M. Sumanth on February 15 at 6 p.m. and a vocal recital by N.H. Hari of Bangalore from 7.15 p.m.
On February 16, there will be a flute recital by Kumari C.S. Kalyani from 6 p.m. and Hindustani vocal concert by Kumari Surabhi Madan Nadiger from 7.15 p.m.
Goshti Gayana
On February 17, artistes from Mysore will present Goshti Gayana from 10.30 a.m. as a tribute to Purandaradasa and Tyagaraja, followed by Geetha Vaachana of Lakshmana Joshi’s Kavya Ramayana by Vidu Dharithri Anandarao and troupe from noon to 1 p.m.
The evening session will begin with the valedictory of the Tarunabharathi concert at 6 p.m. The three-day event will conclude with a vocal concert by Vid Neyveli Santhanagopalan and party at 6 p.m.
All programmes will be held at Veene Seshanna Bhavan, Adi Chunchanagiri Road, Kuvempunagar.
