The initiative will ensure paperless, efficient, transparent governance where there would be little scope for unnecessary delays and the whole office proceedings would be available for information of the public through information technology.

Lauding the initiative taken by the Deputy Commissioner of Gadag, Department of e-Governance and officials of the National Informatics Centre (NIC) at a function at the Zilladalita Bhavan in Gadag, Mr. Patil formally launched the e-Office initiative by visiting the home page of the office on the website, karnataka.gov.in.

The Minister said that after the successful implementation of the project at the Deputy Commissioner’s office here, it would be extended to the offices of Food and Civil Supplies, Land Records, Urban Development Cell and Zilla Panchayat. He urged government employees to work towards making the project successful.
