Five students injured as part of classroom ceiling collapses

Five students were injured when a portion of the ceiling of a classroom at Government First Grade College, Malur, came down on Saturday. The incident occurred when the first year B.Sc. class was in progress.

The injured students Arunavathy, Mamata, Shobha, Asha and Monisha, were treated at the government hospital. “The students suffered minor injuries,” C. Keshav Reddy, principal, said.

There were 26 students in the class. The building was constructed three years ago.
