Coir products and equipment worth over Rs. 20 lakh were burnt in a fire in a coir unit at Mattanavile village in Channarayapatna taluk on Monday. The fire occurred at the coir fibre store at around 12.30 p.m. and spread to the bales of fibre stocked in the unit, owned by a Tamil Nadu based exporter.
