Fifteen-year-old girl rescued from brothel in Delhi

A 15-year-old girl from Tumakuru district was rescued by the Delhi police after she escaped from a brothel. The Tumakuru police have arrested three persons in connection with the case.

Addressing a press conference here on Friday afternoon, Superintendent of Police Karthik Reddy said that Delhi police had informed them about the girl. The Tumakuru police handed her over to her parents.

Asha (35) of Heggare in Tumakuru taluk, Yashoda (50) of Bukapatna village in Koratagere taluk and Narasimharaju(52) of Koratagere in Tumakuru district, have been arrested.

Yashoda and Narasimharaju took the girl to Delhi a month ago, saying she would employed as domestic help there.

They allegedly sold her to a brothel in Delhi. She was in the brothel for a month and managed to escape and contact the Delhi police.
