A 90-year-old man is feared drowned in the Arkavathi, near Jogi Doddi, Ramanagaram district. The missing man has been identified as B. Made Gowda, a resident of Hulikere of Ramanagaram district. He had gone to attend nature’s call on Monday morning. He may have accidentally fallen into the river and been swept away by strong currents, the Ramanagaram Rural police told The Hindu. His family found his clothes and slippers near the river and alerted the police. A joint search operation by the police, local swimmers and the Department of Fire and Emergency Services was launched. But the man could not be traced.
