Dharam Singh cremated with full State honours

Veteran Congress leader and former Chief Minister N. Dharam Singh, who passed away at a private hospital in Bengaluru on Thursday, was cremated with full State honours at his farm at Nelogi village in Jewargi taluk, Kalaburagi district, on Friday at about 5.30 p.m.

The last rites were performed by his elder son Vijay Singh as per Rajput traditions.

As the national anthem played, Dharam Singh’s mortal remains wrapped in the Tricolour were given the gun salute by the District Armed Reserve police. His wife Prabhavathi, sons Vijay Singh and Ajay Singh, daughter Priyadarshini and other family members and relatives were present.
