Demand to convene CMC meeting

January 09, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:47 am IST - Hassan:

Janata Dal (Secular) members in Hassan City Municipal Council have appealed to Deputy Commissioner Umesh H. Kusugal to convene the council to move a ‘no-confidence’ motion against its president H.H. Srividya Anand.

The party, which enjoys a majority in the 35-member council, had chosen Ms. Anand for the post on September 6, 2013. Now, the party wants her to be removed from the post after she allegedly ignored its diktat to relinquish.
