Members of various Dalit organisations staged protest demonstrations outside the offices of the Superintendent of Police and the Deputy Commissioner here on Wednesday, against ‘anti-Ambedkar posts’ on social media.

Some miscreants had recently posted anti-Ambedkar messages on social media, they alleged.

They submitted a memorandum to Superintendent of Police Bhushan Gulabrao Borase and urged the Police Department to take action against the miscreants who “insulted B.R. Ambedkar by posting derogatory messages”.

Members Guruprasad Keregodu, M.V. Krishna, and C.B. Mahadevappa led the protests.
