Judges, advocates and National Service Scheme (NSS) students organised a clean-up drive in the vicinity of the court complex in K.R. Pet in the district on Saturday morning as part of the ‘Swachh Bharat’ campaign.
S. Gopalappa, Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) judge, inaugurated the drive.
“People should show more responsibility by keeping their environment clean,” he said, addressing the volunteers.
The volunteers cleaned the surroundings of the court complex and removed weeds, waste materials, boulders and even some liquor bottles.
Judge S. Kumar, K.R. Pet Advocate’s association president G.R. Anantharamaiah and NSS students from the Government Pre-university College participated in the drive.
