Union and State governments urged to stop screening of ‘PK’ across the country

Members of various Hindu organisations filed a petition against Bollywood actor Aamir Khan here on Friday for allegedly hurting the sentiments of Hindu community by mocking at gods and goddesses in his recently released movie ‘PK’.

A delegation consisting members of various Hindu organisations met the sub-inspector at the Mandy East police station and submitted a complaint against the actor.

Members of the delegation also demanded that a first-information-report (FIR) be filed against Bollywood actor Aamir Khan, who was the director and producer of the movie in which the sentiments of Hindu communities had been hurt.

Derogatory remarks

“We will not tolerate derogatory remarks against Hindu religion or Hindu gods and goddesses,” Manjunath, who led the delegation, told presspersons here on Friday.

Demand

The Hindu organisations urged the Union and State governments to take measures to stop the screening of ‘PK’ across the country. Bhavani Lal, S.K. Krishna, N. Krishna and others were present.
