CII team meets Chief Minister

A team of the Karnataka chapter of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) met Chief Minister Siddaramaiah here on Friday.

The team assured the government of ensuring the industry body’s collaboration with the former to promote balanced regional development and inclusive growth in the State.

The team, headed by Soumitra Bhattacharya, Chairman, CII Karnataka State Council, urged the government to focus on four important areas immediately — building rural infrastructure, simplifying investment procedures, developing tier II and III cities and promoting manufacturing activity.
