Chaos reigned for the third consecutive day on the premises of the Department of Pre-University Education (DPUE) as the number of disgruntled parents and students with various complaints about the recently declared II Pre-University (PU) results swelled on Thursday. A large number of police personnel were deployed to ensure that the situation does not get out of hand.

“I have passed in all my subjects, except accountancy, in which I scored eight marks, according to the website. I got 82 in Kannada, 60 in geography, and around 40 in the rest of the subjects. The evaluation has not been done properly. I have been coming since two days but I haven’t got any favourable reply,” said a student.

“Ultimately it’s the students and parents who have to suffer due to negligence of the PU Board. We have applied for the photocopy but have still not received it. We want the Common Entrance Test counselling process to be postponed,” said a parent
