Cancer detection camp

A free cancer detection clinic will be held at Preethi Cancer Centre (#873, Vani Vilas Road, (M G Road), Lakshmipuram, Mysuru) on May 12. Patients suffering from abnormal bleeding, swelling, lump in any part of the body, change in voice, difficulty in swallowing or sore throat are advised to avail the benefits of the camp. Investigations and treatment will be provided at concessional rates to the detected patients. The clinic will be held between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. on May 12. For more details, call 0821-4259259

Programme on

food safety

A programme on food safety and consumer awareness will be organised by the Department of Studies in Food Science and Nutrition on its premises in Manasagangotri here between 2.30 p.m. and 5.30 p.m. on May 11. A press statement from the department chairperson Asna Urooj said the programme seeks to promote nutrition labelling and facilitate consumers to make informed food choices. Sheshagiri B.G., in-charge Chief Analyst, Divisional Food Laboratory, Mysuru, will inaugurate the event.
