An attempt to start a tractor parked with its key, cost the life of a nine-year-old boy at Yogihalli in Hassan taluk on Sunday.
Rakesh, son of Suresh from Hosadurga taluk in Chitradurga district, had come to Yogihalli with his parents to attend a marriage. On seeing a tractor there, Rakesh sat on the driver’s seat and turned the key on. As the vehicle started moving, the boy fell on the ground, when one of the wheels ran over him, killing the boy on the spot.
Mr. Suresh has filed a complaint with the Dudda police.
