Belagavi district section of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) demanded the State government to recommend a probe by Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into the death of IAS officer D.K. Ravi under mysterious circumstances in Bengaluru on Monday.

BJP district president Eranna Kadadi, on Wednesday led party workers and took out a procession from Rani Channamma circle to the Deputy Commissioner’s office, where he submitted a memorandum to the government demanding resignation of Home Minister K.J. George for his unexpected misleading remarks attributing the death of Ravi to personal reasons of the deceased and thereby projecting his death as a case of suicide.

He also demanded that the Bengaluru City Police Commissioner M.N. Reddi be immediately replaced for his allegedly irresponsible remarks on the death of Ravi.

Meanwhile, Karnataka Nishthavanth Congress Karyakartara Vedike led by Babulal Bagwan, at a press meet here demanded a thorough inquiry to get to the truth behind the death of Ravi.
