The artiste line-up for this year’s Yuva Dasara includes Shankar Mahadevan, Kailash Kher and rock band Indian Ocean, to name a few who are out to rock the Mysore crowd.

The organisers, at a press conference here on Saturday, said the concerts will be held at the Maharaja’s College Grounds from September 27. The inaugural show will be by Sona Mahapatra followed by a rock show by KK.

There will be an LED dance and fire dance by a group of Russian artistes on September 28, followed by Shankar Mahadevan’s concert. On September 29, the audience will be treated to a Bharatanatyam performance by Sridhar Jain and party. A musical concert by Rajesh Krishnan and Nanditha will be held on the same day. In a bid to provide a platform for talented young musicians, the organisers will conduct auditions. The top three bands will be given an opportunity to perform on September 30. This will be followed by a performance by the Indian Ocean.

Renowned singer Kailash Kher who has sung in 18 Indian languages will hit the stage on October 1. The grand finale will be on October 2 when artistes from Sandalwood will present a music and dance concert.

Yuva Dasara was introduced in 2003 to widen the appeal of Dasara and to rope in more youngsters.

Entry will be on first-come first-served basis.
