There was no respite for residents of Hyderabad-Karnataka and Bombay-Karnataka regions from severe heat wave conditions. The daytime temperatures continue to hover above normal in a majority of places, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) readings on Tuesday.
According to the IMD readings recorded at 8.30 a.m. on Tuesday, Bidar recorded the state’s highest maximum temperature of 40 degrees Celsius on Monday, which was 4 degrees more than the temperature recorded on the same day last year. Bidar also recorded the highest minimum temperature of 26 degrees Celsius. Kalaburagi recorded 39.5 degrees Celsius, where as Vijayapura, Bagalkote and Koppal all recorded a maximum temperature of 39 degrees Celsius.
Night temperature also continued to be oppressive in Hyderabad Karnataka region with Bidar recording a high minimum temperature of 26 degrees Celsius. It was 25 degrees Celsius in Kalaburagi, Raichur and Vijayapura.
Raichur, Gadag and Haveri recorded an identical temperature of 38 degrees Celsius, Belagavi airport recorded 37 degrees Celsius. Belagavi city and Dharwad recorded a maximum temperature of 36 degrees Celsius.
