According to official sources here on Thursday, the Regional Commissioner In-charge and Managing Director of Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL) G. Kumar Naik has advised the deputy commissioners of seven districts in the division viz. Bagalkot, Belagavi, Dharwad, Gadag, Haveri, Uttar Kannada and Vijayapura to prepare a contingency action plan and make all necessary alternative arrangements to supply safe drinking water to the residents and live stock in areas which face the shortage.
