Bajrang Dal activists staged a protest in front of the office of Deputy Director of Public Instruction here on Saturday condemning references about Islam and Christianity in a ninth standard textbook.

The Education Department has “conspired to spoil the minds of students” by introducing lesson about these religions, the protesters alleged. “This is a plot to hoist Islam and Christianity on Hindu students”, they said and urged the authorities to change the lesson.

They submitted a memorandum to the DDPI, Swamy, in this connection.
