Members of the Karnataka State United ASHA Workers Association took out a protest rally here on Friday seeking improved working conditions and payment of wage arrears.
They complained that most of them had not got their wages for six months now. The State government should release its share of the incentive and the State’s share, they said. They also demanded that the government release medicine kits, uniforms and other amenities on time. Mahesh Nadagouda, D. Nagalakshmi and others led the strike.
