As many as 62 people were provided with artificial limbs in Shravanabelgola on Monday.

A three-day artificial limb camp, held to provide artificial limbs to the needy, concluded at Shravanabelagola on Sunday.

At the camp, that was organised by Karnataka Marvadi Youth Federation, in the run up to the Mahamastakabhisheka scheduled for February 2018, as many as 62 people were provided with artificial limbs.

Charukeerthi Bhattaraka Swami of Jain Mutt, who participated in the valedictory programme, said the camp was organised to benefit those who needed artificial limbs in their old age. Similar programmes would be held in the future.

B. Champalal Bhandari, of Marvadi Youth Federation, said 62 people received limbs in the camp and among them was an old woman from Mathrubhoomi Home for Senior Citizens who had lost her both legs.
